October 2010 Show

The October Housing Matters show consists of two interviews. In the first interview the STARS Mentoring Program which pairs youth in Vancouver Housing Authority subsidized housing programs with caring adults who serve a role models and share weekly activities is explained in an interview with program participants. 

In the second interview Partners In Careers (PIC) Executive Director Pam Brokaw and Veteran Women Program Coordinator Emily Stoutsenberger explain how PIC helps people on public assistance gain training and work experience and how the Veteran Women and Homeward Bound programs serve homeless women veterans and homeless veterans with children.
